The Blessing of the Fleet at 5pm is the highlight of the Hervey Bay Whale Festival's Food
Wine & Jazz Festival which begins at 2pm.
Roving jazz band "Jazz Em Up" will be performing throughout the afternoon, roving
Pirates and Clowns for the kids and Wine Tasting for the adults.
As the sun sets priests perform the traditional blessing to officially launch
the whale watching season.
There are nine of our magnificant whale watch vessels in Hervey Bay and each
will proceed into the Marina.
This year the Blessing of the Fleet will feature an amazing light show over the
Marina as each vessel is announced by the festival MC.
Don’t miss the fantastic fireworks display at 6:30pm to celebrate the Blessing
of the Whale Watch Fleet.
