Fraser Coast Regional Council requires dedicated volunteers to assist with festival
operations.
Making sure everyone involved in our Whale Festival has the best experience we
can provide for them, is a key ingredient of a successful event. One of the most
important contributors are our volunteers, who we believe, are essential to achieving
that success. Therefore, we are asking you to help us make our Whale Festival
the best, friendliest and well organised event ever by volunteering to help out
on the day.
We’ll even encourage you to have fun and enjoy yourselves too! Take a look at
some of the positions we need filled below. If you are interested in any of these
positions, please click on the application form button below. I look forward

Positions are available to assist with the following:
- Festival Stall – merchandise and information
- Blue Tent – marine conservation displays
- Street Parade – marshalling / crowd control
- Fire Event – marshalling / crowd control
- Parking – marshalling / directing vehicles
- Stage Assistance – set-up of stages / performer changeover
- Site Crew – assist with festival site set-up
Festival Volunteers will receive:
- Hervey Bay Whale Festival T-Shirt
- Meal Voucher
- Certificate of Appreciation
